Unlocking Potential Over Solving Problems

At ASMBL, we don’t just build to solve problems. We build to harness potential.

We launch every client engagement from a curiosity-based exploration of the possible. Problem-solving focuses on fixing one identified issue—which can be a good thing, of course. But it can also come with a steep opportunity cost. Diverting the company’s time, energy, and attention to problem after problem can cloud the broader view of what else the company could achieve.

Our Interconnected Service Methodology

To achieve this ambitious goal, we’ve developed a methodology that leverages the interconnections between technologies, tools, and systems. It’s grounded in three pillars of digital transformation: data activation, business optimization, and experience design. Far from treating these as three separate services, however, we treat them as three facets of a cohesive strategy.

Data Activation

Data activation refers to collecting, transforming, storing, and analyzing data, as well as deploying reliable dashboards and other applications built on that data to offer insights for business planning and decision-making. Successful data activation allows organizations to better understand their business environment, set benchmarks, make predictions, and seamlessly implement advanced tools such as machine learning and generative AI to better serve their customers and improve their bottom line.

ASMBL’s data-activation team employs industry-leading engineering and governance practices to ensure effective data aggregation and deployment, allowing our clients to both achieve their current business goals and discover new possibilities.

Business Optimization

Business optimization helps our clients determine where and how there are opportunities for streamlining, automating, customizing, or enhancing workflows and processes, and then leveraging technology to make these improvements. This might include exploring new technology strategies, selecting or designing and implementing new platforms, redesigning workflows, or developing new applications.

Process optimization and automation services form the core of digital transformation, productivity enhancement, and time and cost efficiency. We can help our clients spot opportunities for growth they might otherwise have missed, and we ensure that our solutions are designed as integrated systems that account for each stakeholder’s complex environment.

Experience Design

Experience design refers to the way the customer or end user engages with a product, including the user interface (UI), user journey, product functionality, interactivity, and customization. ASMBL helps clients improve their products to enhance user engagement, reduce friction, and increase sales or adoption. We offer user experience (UX) and UI research and design services as well as e-commerce services, including sales funnel optimization, product search functionality, omni-channel experiences, and product customization and personalization, for both B2B and B2C companies.

Through our experience design offerings, ASMBL empowers clients and their customers with user-friendly and enjoyable products that harness advanced technology without hiding intuitive processes behind labor-intensive features and tools.

When data and tech tools are siloed by platform or department, stakeholders can spend great amounts of time pulling information from disparate sources into reports that are outdated almost before they’re complete. And each of the platforms and tools used may cost money and time learning its individual procedures.

Although the retail industry more often leverages advanced technology, improvements still make a difference. For example, increasing efficiency at a large e-commerce company can lead to significant sustainability achievements both in physical warehousing and shipping and in the energy consumed for data storage and use.

A Company Structure That Supports Our New Approach

ASMBL has also made internal changes at the organizational level that allow us to better support clients as we grow and pivot toward our new mission. We are excited to announce the appointment of Vince Lui as COO, Eric Tucker as Vice President of Data, and Kate Futhey as Culture and Community Manager. In his new position, Lui will also oversee our business optimization line. Vince, Eric, and Keith Karlick, Vice President of Experience Design, are further expanding their teams, broadening and deepening the support we can offer across all of our services. Additionally, ASMBL has created a dedicated strategy team, which helps clients determine not just how we can meet their business needs today but how we can help set them up to achieve their potential over the next one, five, ten years.
